Born and raised in Scarborough, Glenn worked hard as a City Councillor to ensure that Scarborough would continue to be a great place to live, work or visit. The many community projects that he championed included the following:
- fighting to extend the subway through Scarborough
- building a new library at the Scarborough Civic Centre and improving Bendale Library
- helping thousands of constituents with concerns ranging from flooded basements to dead trees to needed roadwork repairs
- building several splash pads, where children and families enjoy warm-weather fun
- co-hosting 15 local job fairs, through which thousands of Scarborough residents found employment and Scarborough employers found great staff
- encouraging an investment of more than $15 million to fix roads in Scarborough Centre
- hosting nearly 200 community events in Scarborough Centre
- creating several kilometres of hiking and biking trails
